Free delivery applies to BT4, BT5 and BT6 postcodes. Prescriptions and deliveries may be administered by our sister pharmacy [Pharmacy Name] where appropriate. Patients will be informed in advance, and service will remain seamless at all times.

We all live busy lives so we aim to fulfil your prescription in a way that suits you best. If you choose to remain in the pharmacy whilst we make up your prescription, the efficient and effective systems we have established in our dispensary ensure that we can provide you with your medication in a timely manner, cutting your waiting time to a minimum.
Our prescription turnaround time is really up to speed, however we are always happy to prepare your prescription and then hold it for you if you have other business to do nearby.
Private Prescriptions
McDonalds Pharmacy welcomes the opportunity to fulfil all your private prescription needs. We carry a full stock of the specialist medications which are often prescribed on a private prescription.
Unfortunately counterfeit drugs are widely available especially on the web. You can be assured that as a licensed and registered pharmacy we only supply genuine medication obtained from approved suppliers.
Speak to one of our dispensary pharmacy team or alternatively contact us by telephone or e-mail and ask us to provide you with a quote to supply your prescribed medication. Never purchase drugs from abroad or from unknown sources, and remember, if the price you are quoted on the internet for your private prescription looks too good to be true – it probably is too good to be true.

We can collect prescriptions from most local surgeries on your behalf. Simply call in, contact us by phone or email with details, and we will do the rest. Once the service is set up there are four easy steps to take:
- Order your prescription from your doctor and advise them that we will collect it. Please remember, if we have not collected for you before, to ask the surgery to nominate us as your pharmacy for collection.
- Contact the pharmacy team and let us know you have a prescription to be collected.
- We’ll advise you when it will be ready.
- We collect and make up your prescription – it’s as simple as that!
Medicine Aids
McDonalds Pharmacy provide a range of Medicine Aids making medication safer and easier to take.
So the next time you visit the pharmacy ask our pharmacist for a demonstration of how our range of medication aids can help you with your medication needs. Our staff can advise you on a wide range of solutions ranging from tablet splitters to monitored dose systems and pill popping devices.
We supply all medication in child-resistant containers unless you ask us not to. Always keep medication out of the reach of children.
Medicine Advice
Our McDonalds Pharmacy pharmacists are highly trained and have expertise and knowledge of all the common side effects, warnings, contradictions or interactions associated with your medications.
If you have any concerns or questions about your medication, either prescribed or purchased over the counter, we can help. We provide our customers free advice on every aspect of their medication requirements. In a typical day within the dispensary we answer many different questions on:
- The safety of medication during pregnancy and breast-feeding
- The side effects of medication and what to do if a customer experiences side effects
- Whether tablets or capsules can be crushed broken or opened to make them easier to take
- When to take and when not to take medication
- Driving and operating machinery when taking certain medications
- Whether all of a customer’s different medication can be taken together at the same time
- What to do if a dose is missed
